Panel members from Wells Fargo, Nationwide, and Principal Financial Group's volunteer programs will have an open discussion with DOVIA members on the opportunities and challenges facing volunteering in the workplace. Discussion will be faciliated by United Way of Central Iowa's Volunteer Engagement Director, Shirley Burgess.

CALL FOR IOWA VOLUNTEER HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS

Nominations for the Iowa Volunteer Hall of Fame are now being accepted. Nominate individuals or groups that have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to volunteerism. A NEW CALL TO SERVICE

ServeNext is a growing community working to address the problems facing National Service: inadequate public leadership causing the budget cuts and insufficient public demand of our leaders to do anything about it.

Currently, ServeNext is asking people to sign a petition to urge President-Elect Barack Obama to call on Americans in his inaugural address to inspire a new era of service.

Employee and Family Resources administers nationwide mental health and substance assessment services to employers through their Employee Assistance Program.
