Volunteering Improves Health
According to a study released by the Corporation for National and Community Service, volunteers help themselves to better health while helping others.
The full report available here establishes a strong relationship between volunteering and health. The report findings shows those who volunteer have lower mortality rates, greater functional ability, and lower rates of depression later in life than those who do not volunteer.

CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE RELEASES VOLUNTEER TREND FIGURES
The Corporation for National and Community Service released Volunteering in America, a detailed, multi-year report on volunteering trends and demographics in all 50 states, U.S. regions, and 162 cities.
